Testing Reliability Under Repeated Water Pressure Impact

Water pressure in a household piping system is not always completely stable. The rapid opening and closing of valves can create sudden pressure changes, commonly known as water hammer.

To evaluate how products perform under repeated pressure impact, the Weisswasser laboratory uses a dedicated water hammer testing system. The equipment can simulate water hammer under different pressure conditions and monitor multiple test channels through a centralized control system.

Complete machines, waterway assemblies and key water-contact components are subjected to up to 150,000 water hammer cycles as part of the durability evaluation process.

Throughout the test, the team monitors pressure changes, sealing performance, structural condition and any signs of leakage or abnormal operation. This allows potential weaknesses in connections, housings and waterway components to be identified before products enter the market.

For Weisswasser, reliability is not confirmed by a single pressure test. It must also be verified through repeated operation under demanding conditions.
